«GAUCHER / LEFT-HANDED » est une histoire racontée par ma main gauche.

Main gauche dessine naturellement main droite.

Main droite tente de dessiner son homologue, pourquoi pas ?

Mes yeux sont fascinés par ses deux patoches.

Les deux mains s’entendent bien, elles étaient constamment occupées, d’abord avec des hochets puis avec des outils.

Cette expérience bilatérale se déroulait également dans un environnement familial totalement biculturel et bilingue.

Quand main gauche avait commencé à écrire des mots, elle l’a fait de droite à gauche, en miroir des droitiers…

“GAUCHER / LEFT-HANDED” is a story told by my left hand.

Left hand naturally draws right one.

Right hand attempts to draw his counterpart as well, why not?

My eyes are fascinated by both of them.

These hands do get along, they’ve been constantly busy, first with toys then tools.

This bilateral experience was happening also in a total bicultural and bilingual family environment.

When my left hand first wrote words, he did it from right to left, mirroring the right handed people…

‘SOUSFACE’ – Collage on wood – 2 x 92 x 128cm This large scale collage was made for a show in december 2011 The gallery is a vitrine under the train station in Lausanne, CH – www.space-station.ch The collage is made of eye shaped bits of magazine images, glued on wood. 92 x 128cm is the local format of a street advertisement. This piece speaks of how the ‘SURFACE’ of man is material in a material world, but underneath, the ‘SOUSFACE’ is made of the infinite nature of the universe. There is a tension that arises being of infinite nature in a finite body.

La galerie est une vitrine sous gare à Lausanne, VD – www.space-station.ch Le collage est fait de bouts de magasines découpés en formes d’oeil et collés sur du bois. 92 x 128cm : ceci est le format des publicités dans les rues de Lausanne. Ce travail parle de l’aspect matériel de l’homme dans un monde matériel en ‘SURFACE’, mais en ‘SOUSFACE’ l’homme est de nature infinie, tel l’univers. Il y a une tension qui se manifeste entre l’être de nature infinie vivant dans un corps fini.
